ACTA in short form Latin means daily public records. It was the earliest known news sheet (carved on stone or metal) in ancient Rome. It was published daily, recorded important daily events and hung in prominent places.
Founded in late 2022, Hi ACTA is an App curated for learners between the ages of 10-19 worldwide. Our teaching material covers culture (sports, social sciences), current affairs (politics, economics) and sustainability (conservation, wildlife, renewables) every day. Hi ACTA aims to provide a singular platform that will enable 10-19 year old students to expand their global horizons.
The penultimate goal is to encourage 10-19 year olds, to become more aware of the world around us, by developing a global, rather than elitist mindset to news. We do this by focusing on what is important to rest of the world, not what is already widely taught in local public and international schools.
At approximately 7am (local time zone) every weekday, Hi ACTA sends out a notification to the mobile numbers of every subscribing 10-19 year olds student covering culture, sports, current affairs and sustainability. To ensure 10-19 year olds are not inundated with 24/7 feeds, we limit ourselves to a maximum of 1-2 notifications, per day, to help keep pace with key global changes unfolding before them.
The dataset preference of 10-19 year olds in Japan are different from students in Hong Kong and these are different from students in U.S, Europe, Dubai, Russia, China, etc., Therefore, our goal is to focus on the most global talking points that connects them all clinically, not ideologically.
In less than 5 months, over 830+ secondary schools across 6 countries have signed up to Hi ACTA.
